For me, this means music, dancing, celebrating, and making art.
My latest work is my brain on Phish, (aka the Golden Gods of Rock and Roll.) I came back from their Riviera Maya show and immediately went to work on this little baby.
Fresh in mind were neon palm trees, wading in the velvet sea, and the epic Shipwreck jammy jam. So much gratitude to express, because this was the coolest thing we’ve EVER done!

Humans gathering to dance and share music is ancient, timeless, and an important ritual. Music and dancing are unitive, dissolving our differences into the poetry and bliss of togetherness.
This painting is the neon feeling of music, lights, ocean, and a dance party… the spectacle outside becomes part of you until separation dissolves… and you’re left vibrant and alive. My color inspiration:
I absolutely love how she turned out. The modernized celtic knotting technique I use feels like the fabric of space – ephemeral, timeless, both macro and microcosmic. It’s lots of fun to create, and even more fun for the eyes to interact with.
