My second piece in this series! For now they’re being lumped in with all my other abstract work on my website, but this is really it’s own thing.
My recent abstract work is much more intricate, and relies heavily on paint pens. This newer process is a lot more about sensing, breathing, layering, and moving. There’s a return to joy in these pieces, and I hope that shines through 🙂
(“Orphic Seasons,” 30×30,” prints and original here)
“Orphic” is the joyful, hedonistic mindset of the cult of Dionysus, God of Wine, founded by Orpheus, God of Music. So this piece is about those inner seasons of the God-like parts within us – storms, cosmic upheaval, growth, and renewal.
